The Kommunale ADV-Anwendergemeinschaft West (KAAW) is providing its member municipalities with a centralised e-learning platform based on the LCMS AcademyMaker from X-CELL AG. The aim is to make digital training in cities and municipalities efficient and scalable.
Medium-sized and small municipalities are also faced with the challenge of regularly training employees on topics such as occupational health and safety, data protection or IT applications, but often do not have the necessary resources to operate their own learning platforms. KAAW's centralised solution completely eliminates the need to set up and operate your own infrastructure, as provision and maintenance are handled centrally.
A key advantage of the solution is its flexibility: thanks to the integrated authoring tool, local authorities can independently create and manage digital training courses and update them quickly if necessary. In addition, KAAW provides a set of standard training courses that can be used without additional effort.
Cross-municipal use creates synergies that promote an efficient and sustainable training structure. The platform grows continuously in line with the requirements of local authorities and thus supports the digital transformation in the public sector in the long term.
"With over 5,000 users and 500 training courses to date, we have created a stable and scalable learning environment," says a KAAW project manager.
KAAW is a municipal IT association with 52 members and has been supporting cities and municipalities with practical and economical solutions since 1991. With the central e-learning platform based on AcademyMaker, it offers a future-proof solution for efficient compulsory and specialised training courses as well as sustainably strengthened digital training.
