Audi AG is a German premium car manufacturer based in Ingolstadt and, as part of the Volkswagen Group, achieved a turnover of EUR 61.8 billion in 2022 with sales of around 1.68 million vehicles and a workforce of around 89,000 employees worldwide.
The existing software solution for planning and managing trainer qualifications was outdated and had reached its limits and needed to be replaced in order to ensure consistent training. There was also a desire to be able to integrate other training formats, such as webinars and online training, into the overall qualification concept.
The main focus of the introduction of AcademyMaker/AcademyManager as a management system for trainer qualification in the areas of sales, product support and after sales was on booking, managing and evaluating the almost 5,000 attendance appointments per year.
In particular, the individual configurability of the entire booking workflow with requests, waiting lists, cancelations, reservations and all associated e-mail confirmations and information and deadlines such as registration stop and cancellation stop offers Audi the necessary flexibility in the process.
The approximately 2,500 trainers book their training courses via the Audi Qualification Terminal, which is connected via SSO, and can also manage their employees and affiliated organizations and create bookings for them in the role of training coordinator via "My Team".
We operate our qualification platform for Audi trainer development and further training in the areas of sales, after sales and product support with the AcademyMaker suite. 2,500 users from our global importers and external partners book training courses and online training sessions via the platform. The decisive factor for us was the functionality of the AcademyManager module: the software standard offers us all the functions we need for efficient appointment management, participant communication and evaluation. The best thing for our project is that in X-CELL we have a partner who was also able to implement individual software adaptations, provide us with professional and close support and offer responsive support.
