KAAW is a municipal IT association with 52 members. Since 1991, it has been supporting cities and municipalities with modern, cost-effective, and practical solutions for digital transformation.
Local governments face the challenge of having to regularly train their employees on a wide variety of topics. At the same time, they often lack the personnel and technical resources to operate their own learning platform. KAAW therefore sought a centralized solution that would provide cross-municipal training to all affiliated municipalities on a single system while also enabling them to create their own content flexibly and according to their needs.
With AcademyMaker, the KAAW provides its members with a centralized e-learning platform. The major advantage: cities and municipalities do not need to set up their own infrastructure or host or administer the system themselves. The KAAW is fully responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical provision of the platform.
Local governments can independently create and manage digital training courses there, particularly on topics such as occupational safety, data protection, and IT/software. Using the integrated authoring tool, they can customize their content and update it quickly as needed. The KAAW also offers its members a set of standard training courses that can be used without having to manage the content themselves.
This cross-municipal use creates an efficient, scalable solution that generates synergies and sustainably strengthens digital continuing education in the municipal sector.
We have been using AcademyMaker successfully for several years now and have been able to easily scale our platform to accommodate our steadily growing user base in the municipal sector. With over 5,000 users and 500 training courses, we have created a stable and efficient learning environment.
