The Düsseldorf-based corporate learning provider X-CELL AG is expanding its portfolio with the new e-learning programme "Diversity & Unconscious Bias". The practice-oriented online training sensitises employees to unconscious bias and conveys the importance of diversity in a professional context. This provides companies with an effective tool to help them fulfil their obligations under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) and actively contribute to a fair, respectful and non-discriminatory working environment.
In everyday working life, decisions are made every day that are characterised by unconscious thought patterns. These so-called unconscious biases can influence perceptions and assessments and lead to opportunities being distributed unequally or potential not being utilised. Regular training courses make an important contribution to creating awareness and strengthening equal opportunities in the long term.
The e-learning programme provides a compact introduction to the basics of diversity and unconscious bias, explains typical forms of unconscious bias and shows their effects on collaboration and decision-making processes. In addition, concrete strategies for action are presented that promote reflective and fair behaviour in everyday working life. Practical examples and interactive elements help participants to recognise and critically question their own thought patterns.
The e-learning programme is aimed at employees at all hierarchical levels in companies, public authorities and educational institutions. It can be used across all sectors, is flexibly customisable and can be easily integrated into existing learning platforms.
