Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) is an internationally active company in the aviation industry based in Dresden. The company specializes in converting passenger aircraft into cargo aircraft, as well as in maintenance, repair, and modification. With approximately 2,000 employees, global locations, and a growing international business, EFW is now a major player in the global aviation industry.
EFW's primary requirement was to design occupational safety training programs that, in addition to covering general fundamentals, also addressed the specific conditions at each individual site as well as individual risk profiles. The goal was to align the content even more closely with employees' day-to-day work.
The project focused on tailoring X-CELL’s existing occupational safety training programs to the specific requirements of Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH. The standard content was systematically supplemented with company- and site-specific aspects to ensure maximum relevance to employees’ day-to-day work.
Particular emphasis was placed on integrating specific hazards on the factory premises as well as on handling specific substances in the workplace. In addition, supplementary rules of conduct were included, such as references to internal operating instructions and relevant guidelines for daily work, and site-specific information such as emergency plans and evacuation routes was integrated.
This resulted in a customized extension of the existing training programs that specifically addresses EFW’s requirements—and did so in a very short time and at low cost.
The ability to tailor the content specifically to our company was a major plus for us. The collaboration process was also particularly smooth—we were able to implement requested changes quickly and easily.
